A high sticker price and buzz-killing insurance rates may
put off young buyers who most want it. And Mazda must sell enough regular 3s in
the U.S. to justify a low-volume hard-core model for those who have worn out
their 2007–2013 Mazdaspeed 3s.
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL AND PRICE
Don’t expect a Speed 3 before the 2018 model year, but do
expect Mazda to work hard to keep the price below $30,000.
